Why and how to joyfully move our butts around town, without mucking the place up.

Robocars - Automated driving, driverless cars, unoccupied cars

The world of high technology is making many things possible. Computers can respond more quickly than humans, raising the possibility that computers could make for better drivers than us poor humans. Human senses and reactions weren't designed to cope with highway speed travel in a constantly changing flux of traffic, and the proof of this is the traffic accident rates. There's a whole world of possibilities that Robocars could implement, once the technology is capable of doing so.

What's a Robocar? I'm going to define it as a vehicle (truck, car, etc) that has a significant degree of computerized automation to assist the driver. This could be partial driving automation, or complete driving automation.

One potential key item to implement Robocar's is Connected vehicles and vehicle-to-vehicle communications so that the cars can communicate, machine-to-machine, with each other.
